Cricket is a multiuse  term. It at once represents a building term as in the cricket saddle near a chimney on a roof. It describes an insect that “chirps” during the summer and fall seasons of the year, ever had one in the house or garage that you couldn’t locate but it was exceptionally loud? The last instance is a British ball game that resembles our baseball with some differences in pitching, scoring  and other areas that we would find odd. Of course the British think our Baseball is odd. We can now look at “Cricket” in a different way. The explanation of the game is available on  “Wikipedia”
