The Congress is still trying resolve the budget issue in the media. These guys are like the drunk at the party wearing the lampshade, who can’t remember his actions of the previous night. Once his actions are pointed out he become a little embarrassed and does it again, and again, and again and again. The public airings are just efforts to look as if they are doing something. What if there were no political party’s? If there were no Dupublicans* or Scamocrats* who would be blamed for the financial crisis? There is still the body called the Congress and with or without party associations they are responsible for the good and bad of this fiscal morass. I am disturbed that these “Learned gentlemen” have to debate these issues in the media rather than compile a plan that could work then present it to the voters. This stream of sound bites and snippets only give part of the story and only serves to exacerbate the public frustration. Politics has evolved into a war of words and once the sound bite and rush of words becomes intolerable , the public stops listening and hears only bits and pieces which leads to inaccurate and erroneous understanding of the message. The sitting President and several of his predecessors have had to deal with the many of the same members of Congress on the same problems and have made apparently little progress and that is why we now face dire financial problems for the future. Where we have to look for future salvation is in the voting booth.
