I have tried very hard to see both side of the political parties but have yet to see any good reason for their existence. What we have are two groups whose sole purpose appears to be showing us that they are more deserving of our support than the other party. The real truth as I see it is each party has some reasonable people and perhaps even rational.  Yet they seem to have fallen under the spell of the baser (and more experienced) members of their party. The picture I am getting is that a truly service oriented person will have a tough time serving as dictated by the public perception of elected officials. We have come the point that a majority of elected officials have no real idea of what the voters want and need. The wants and needs  list of the voters reads like a shopping list except as with a shopping list it varies from state to state and along ethnocultural lines. This shopping list tailors the speeches and conduct of the candidates (incumbent or aspirant) as they travel across the country chasing support. There will never be a single solution for the various problems that need solving but there can be an avenue towards that goal. The way in is wide open and always has been, this path travels through the pitfalls of religion, race, ethnicity and most of all color. The path is truth!, truth does not change and while it is sometimes painful , it remains the truth. Apparently the advisors to candidates cannot see the truth as a good thing therefore many candidates color it to suit the needs of the drive for office.
