Looking at the current and near recent Legislative efforts (or non) to get a handle on the economic situation, I am reminded of two terms that describe their actions.

1. Crabbing an aviation term which describes a method of landing an aircraft when the wind is actually pushing the aircraft from the side, to adjust the pilot has to steer in the opposite direction so that the plane will land on the  area.

2. In sailing the same maneuver is called tacking  (there are variations on this).

What is it about our Congress that reminds me of those maneuvers?
