238 years ago this nation was founded, making us the new kid on the block as far as major nations in the world. There are some slight errors in the actual birth of this nation, the actual Declaration of Independence and the true founding of this nation. Those discrepancies are not enough to be a hindrance of any sort yet some purists will and have made a big deal of it. Aside form these small things , we need to look at our place in the world as a powerful nation. We have in the far and near past gotten involved in someway the affairs of other nations as participating partners, supporting partners and leading partners. In these modern times we are pressed into the position of being mediators as opposed to active participants. As the youngsters of the world community we are still learning the business and we sometimes make mistakes. We are often criticized for our inaction, over action and lack of action. As new kids we are prone to mistakes but we still put in our share and more. Where we need to improve first is on the home front, our current Congress has lost their way and the voters need to (or better yet), have to put them on the right path. That is only done by the vote and too many of us have forgotten that our voice is the vote. We have been advertised into apathy and misdirection for many years and we never realized the impact of it. As the youngsters we are, we have to look at everything with the pure eyes of children and not accept everything we are shown and told. Today July 4th, 2014, we celebrate correctly or not the birthday of America, where everyone wants to live and be free.
