The current aspirants to the Presidency are so focused on populist views that they have missed the mark on what is really important. The campaigners have jabbed one another, jabbed the president and make statements that range from pure idiocy  to pure bare hidden Racism. These are the people who rather than focus on real issues choose to roil the waters of public opinion with fear mongering and sniping on one another. Are these the people we want running our country? Within the parties there is no unity so what will happen should one of them become the Commander In Chief? There are many issues that these people have no idea about so they gossip as many of us do when we do not understand an individual issue and its content. Speculation fueled by ignorance is mere folly and rhetoric where as diligence in gathering real information is a better road to follow. It has long been  the nature of people in general to carp about things they do not understand rather than learn about it and use the knowledge to make proper assessments. However since we are talking about politics the previous statement is moot. Politics has always been a nasty business and the leads me to wonder why would some subject themselves to such an ordeal to be elected official then do the same thing each election cycle?  Is it the idea of serving the people, serving their investors or serving themselves? What ever the reason we the voters need to educate ourselves rather than accept the utterings of people running for any office because they say what you want to hear, look good in a suit, have good-looking hair, a great looking spouse or any other attribute that we have been advertised into thinking is how our leaders look  rather than what they think or do. There is an idiom” Seeing is Believing” which has been around since the 1600’s or longer but seeing is not always believing as no one can see into the mind of another person. The shell we have is the only outward vision we have of a person and is not indicative of their thoughts. Real politics is no more than who can out trash the other candidates.
