Scotus has dealt a blow for justice and human dignity for all Americans except the ones who deem their recent actions as blasphemous and against God’s will. If God had willed that all creatures were equal then why are there so many so called Religious organizations and “leaders” against the marriages of same sex couples? It must be remembered that the Bible was written by men who interpreted the word of God as they saw it but often the real facts have been altered , lost in translation and altered to suit the needs of the interpreter or user. The Native Peoples of the world have always had the right idea as far as religion in that their beliefs are Spiritual not religious. Their tie is to the natural world around them and not to edifices that require tithes and upkeep as “civilized man” maintains. The civility goes only as far as the proposer will allow since it relates to their own needs and wants. These needs and wants are often contrary to the true nature of what being spiritual is. As we have progressed in technology, we have regressed in the spirituality of  being. Simply put all living creatures have a right to “be” and we have allowed that right to be controlled by so called “leaders” who we tend to admire out of hand.

America, the polarized!

In these days of nonwhites being attacked and killed by authorities for just living, these acts are being condoned and applauded by some segments of the public. It is a poor showing in America, the land of opportunity, that too many of us cannot get beyond the antebellum mentality.

The worst thing about all of this is that we are led by people elected to do what is correct, but for whom? Our legislators, who harm all of us with their poor to nonexistent judgments and actions, are the primary perpetrators of these issues in their treatment of the president of the United States. Their activities — or inactivity — against the president are against the rest of us, even if you laud their activities.

The homogeneous nature of America is not represented by our current Congress or our high court, yet we allow them to serve with impunity. Voters have allowed the truth to be trodden and misrepresented by news outlets and pundits sole purpose is to sell news and whatever products that are advertised on their programs.

Apparently, there is no limit to the extent the powers will go to deceive us. The vote is the most powerful weapon citizens have, and we need to remember that when we go to the polls. Truth will always prevail even if the lies are prettier.

In the past 10 years it has become evident that America is not as progressive as Europe in spite of our industrial development. Britain has “socialized Medicine” where everyone has healthcare, the British Parliament discusses and resolves issues relating to the proper administering of the country’s needs rather than who marries who, who can live where or even what flag flies where. This Congress and the associated media has spent valuable time on innuendo, misconception and out right lies in some case to get their way with the voters. Shame on us voters for believing them. When a political “leader(?)” has to resort to subterfuge and disingenuous statements to keep or gain an office, then we need to provide a quick exit for them. Why does it take millions of dollars to gain election to a position that pays a lot less than the money spent to get it? There is an inherent flaw in the messages offered as truth and honesty to get to a high government (Local, State or federal) office. It is a failing on behalf of the voters to ascribe to the opinions of a heavily biased media who employ spokespersons who have a smattering of understanding about what real journalism is. These spokespersons are no more than sensationalists masquerading as experts. These people are as radical as any terrorist but using words as weapons. Their under and uninformed comments serve to inflame rather inform. WE as voters need to look behind the curtain of misinformation and  strip them of an audience for the illusory presentations  they assail us with on a daily basis. These are the times when the world bullies are on the move and using the same tactics  to spread THEIR propaganda. We  do not have a failure to communicate but more a failure to inform.

Our Congress has opened the door to the Racism against President Obama and by extension perhaps all non-white Americans. Israel has forgotten that they were once on the bottom and now it seems that they have forgotten the assistance America has given them in aid and arms. We still contribute billions to Israel and we allow this kind of  attack on our President. This is due to our inept Congress inviting a war hawk to speak in the combined chamber with speaking to the President. This is not to say that the President had any power to prevent it but our poorly functioning 535 has proven again that they are not the legislators they need to be. This tweet should have been directed at them but instead we see the Racism that is still prevalent in the world and how our “ally” is truly not as trustworthy as we need them to be. The Israelis for all of their travails should be a better friend but it is apparent that they have no loyalty to us in spite of the funding they receive and our Congress will no doubt ignore this since our CIC is not white. It is our duty as Americans (all of us) to stand behind the President especially as far as the world is concerned. This divisiveness is exactly why our country is in the financial and moral tumult we are now experiencing. Consider the message we are sending to our children and the haters of America.

All insurance is the best insurance until you need or use it. Do you find it curious that your policy is along the lines of a contract with fine print that is tediously involved with huge amounts of “legalese”? The reason many of us do not read contracts fully is the extensive amount of language in small print. The small print and language is a deadly combination for the best readers let alone the poorer readers. Insurance policies are especially bad as their contracts have many items that serve to deny payment on coverage and restrict payouts on coverage’s. Why can’t the contract be simple like an index? The contract could use a list type structure. this would make it simple as you could look at the list to see what is covered and what is not. Instead you have this mind-boggling,  multi-page, small print documents that when read gives one a headache (by design?) and halts the process of reading it. When you start a claim you have 50-50 chance of getting a denial, then you appeal according to their  (the company) process, you are denied again and you usually have another appeal. The next appeal stands a better than average chance of being denied, these appeals stretch over weeks and months until you grow tired of it or there is a final denial or if you feel up to it sue for payment and or damages. In my opinion we should be pushing our legislators to overhaul the contract wording to reflect a simpler form of understanding for the average person, this format should extend to all contracts. This may eliminate the use of some legal personnel in writing contracts but would be a boon to the everyday person who can then understand what they are signing on to. I have elected to pursue all denials until I reach the end no matter what the end result  and thereafter I look for hopefully a better (?)  company to do business with. In the pursuit of another company I know now what questions to ask and hopefully get a better deal overall. One part of all of this the agent you deal with, often their assistance can help but more often they are implicit in the denial while affecting a sense of caring about your situation.

Godfrey Daniel used by W.C. Fields in several of his movies. It is not hard to guess the expletive this represents.  This brings me to a well known quote attributed to Jesus of Nazareth, the verity  (or not) of this is supported by the various versions of the Bible and other religious writings. The quote is as near as I can recall “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her”. This was in a situation where people were willing to stone a woman for prostitution. That all being said it is odd that we have Bill O’ Reilly in the news again for  transgressions of past and near past, this front man for Faux news for any reason they decide to have him  promote is no better  than anyone else and joins the ranks of many of our high placed elected officials who have  pushed the agendas of big money (except in Bill’s case selling books) while decimating programs that support the neediest and middle class of AMERICA. You can believe our elected Congress or pay attention to the real truth, our erstwhile seat fillers do not have the best interests of the “American people” they are so fond of citing in their minds. It absolutely pains me that so many of us dislikes  what is happening in this country yet refuse to participate by voting against established politicians and rebuking the misinformation the put out as fact. Our Congress has no statesmen only folks working for anyone other than the voters who elected  them no matter how ill-informed those voters were on the issues. Essentially where we need to be mentally is: beware of the crowd pushing for throwing stones and remember elections are all about who can spend the most to convince us to throw stones as it were. An awareness of the real issues is the first step to having good and trustworthy government and it starts with us, the voters.

“While listening to NPR, several knowledgeable people were assessing the turmoil in the near and mid east, it appears that contrary to popular belief – The members of the  Islamic State” are terrorists under different name. These folks are no better than thugs and criminals in any other country. Now to get to some  related items: What is wrong with the aspiring candidates for the presidency in their under or uninformed ideas of how foreign policy and foreign warfare should be conducted? One stated that we should bomb the insurgents in to oblivion! First it’s been tried (Vietnam, Afghanistan and other places), second the people who suffer the most are the people we purport to be assisting as the “enemy lives among them  and uses the bombings as propaganda against us. The issuing of unfounded statements  is not only irresponsible but inflammatory and aids (if not reinforcing) the enemy’s policies. These statements allow for interpretation of a country (USA) that is divided and unreliable. Free speech is a great asset  if used  with real facts , no innuendo or disingenuousness. It is unfortunate that in essence we have become used to “yellow journalism”, carefully worded news and omission laden speeches. There was a time when we could trust the news while  the networks provided  shows, movies  and  entertainment. What we have now is “entertainment news” that runs for hours on end with the same content delivered with each presenters spin while keeping the company’s owners basic ideals(?).  The middle east has been in turmoil for centuries under one faction or another yet it survives-not according to Euro or American standards but the standards of the area. It is surely reasonable that the area could use some help but the right kind of help. It is possible that the help we have provided is not the help that is needed in today’s world. WE have allowed a Foreign Politician to conduct his campaign in our Congress further exacerbating an already rocky relationship in the region. It is incumbent on the American people to have a real understanding of  the events in the world that affect us now and will certainly affect us later. I am suggesting that we listen to news on events with an ear to call  B— S—! when we hear it and write or call the presenter on it. Do not be entertained by so called on air news, simply laugh and search for the truth on your own or in many of the online venues available. We are already at a disadvantage due to our 535 seat fillers who are always looking at the next election and how they can help their backers (not constituents),  enhance their own image and status.

There appears to be a worldwide tendency to pile on the United States which seems to have begun with our very own Congress and associated backers. I cringe at the idea that our country is allowing closeted and outright bigots to make our laws but given all of the rhetoric and media coverage of the Whitehouse  one has to consider the possibility. The Congressional group and their allies have singlehandedly handed a license to pile on the United States government by rogue and near rogue governments, factions or fringe groups on any initiative, talk or other efforts to work on the world stage. What does the election of Israel have to do with us? Nothing, yet the Senate invited the aspirant to speak in the Senate to reinforce their contempt for the President. Our 535 has been poor at legislating but pretty strong at getting coverage by “faux” news to get their disingenuous message out while running for office at every opportunity. It is these actions by the Congress that should wake the voting public up and start some reforms in Congress. These reforms are no more than electing someone else to serve rather than maintain the same status quo due to lack of information, biases or laziness(?). If we need to elect someone new every election cycle then we should probably do it until we get what we require. It is the duty of the legislators to support the President by supplying correct information as determined by the many ambassadors, committees  and staffers employed for that purpose. Instead the Congressional seat fillers have spent too much time rebutting  and getting the party message out than assisting in a universal  message to all including the world leaders. It is easy to pile on to keep from being piled but a little more difficult to stand up for something different.

If you consider how the last several Presidents were treated by Congress, then the past White house residents got by easy. The  current POTUS has had to deal with the unspoken words and an impertinent Congress who in reality treat the President as irrelevant much like some elitist whites treat many minorities (as invisible). The Dupublicans and some Scamocrats have voiced opinions about the Iran and Cuban negotiations without knowing what is being said and done. They are asking for the discussions to be brought before them but this is all a ruse as they have one ambition, to take control  of the Presidency and Congress! We as voters have shown our power  and we need to remember our representatives do not represent us. These so called representatives represent their big money backers and their own “legacies?”. There is no reason for voters to be loyal to these seat fillers as they are not loyal to us. They are skilled as talkers (about nothing) but not as doers. Promises, it is said are made to be broken so it is reasonable to think that we are crawling over the rocky shards of broken promises made before each election cycle and coming up bloody with small hope of treatment. Our salvation is in being loyal to ourselves and not political parties and their rhetoric. This holds true with any Nationally known organization whose agenda does not encompass all Americans to some degree.

It is really strange that the Israeli prime minister and our Congress are on the same side of the Iran issue. Both of them appear to have their heads in the Race barrel and are doing everything wrong to prevent the people of Iran (the ordinary people) from living a better life with sanctions lifted. We (America) early on created some of this with the ouster of an Anti American regime  and installing a repressive Shah who we then sheltered when the Ayatollahs took power. These people are as bad as the previous regimes including the Shah since they have repressed free speech, women’s rights and other freedoms we enjoy. The Israeli’s would understand this since the Holocaust  and the fight for a State of their own. It appears that the statement “lest we forget” means nothing these days. I would like to see politicians in office who are “Statesmen” instead of office holders attempting to remain in office. It would certainly be a breath of fresh air if our representatives actually represented us and did more than opposing the President on everything and using the media as their ally.
